Tourist should not abuse the nature of Palawan
Nature is an integral part of our lives. But even while we appreciate the blessings she bestows on us, we forget that we are stealing her treasures and thereby denying our children the pleasure of enjoying nature in all her abundance and variety in the future. The beauty of nature has been praised in the works of poets and artists. Nature has many problems. It keeps changing from season to season, from minute to minute. If the sea was a bright blue in the morning, by noon it has become an emerald green hue. The colors of the sky keep changing throughout the day, from pale pink at dawn to a dazzling blue at mid-morning and a bright orange by sunset and purple by twilight. Nature reflects our moods. When the sun shines, we feel happy and hopeful. It somehow shows to us the message on how we treated our mother nature.
Among the Philippines’ most famous tourist destination is the Palawan Island. Located on the MIMAROPA region, the island is called as the Philippine’s last frontier. Home to the famous Underground River and the Tubbataha Reef Marine Park, Palawan does not only offer amazing beaches but other great natural resources as well. All of which has been preserved and remains untouched until this day.
This is just an overview on how wonderful is Palawan. Moreover, we as humans also have the obligation on how to protect our nature. As of now, there are many issues regarding this topic, however, people continue to do things which probably result in destroying the nature. Imagine you are a helpless animal, watching your whole world being destroyed, like the trees you live in falling to the ground and even the ground on which you walk on getting dug and plowed out of sight, you can’t do a thing and all you do is watch, you are in danger of starvation and thirst. How are you going to survive?
Our mission is to conserve our nature from being destroyed. So, as Filipino, I would assure that every tourist will not do any harm of any of our resources because it is our lives. It provides everything that we need. Would you allow someone to destroy you? Absolutely not, caring is important, if everyone can help the conservation of nature not only its people but including the tourist who would just like to visit the natural beauty of the place, we will have a safer environment. Nature cannot help itself alone; it needs us, all of us.
Would you like your son to see the refreshing sunlight? Would you like your daughter to play in the rain? Would you like your grandson to see the mesmerizing light of sunset? Would you like your granddaughter to play with different animals? The answer is in our hands. Whenever the nature preservation succeeds, we are all a step closer to protecting all of its resources so people living in the future can see how beautiful and amazing these things are.
If no one did anything to help the nature, it will be destroyed in a matter of years, think of a planet having no nature at all because we didn’t bother to help the resources in need. The Earth is the only planet man can ever call home. Therefore, he must love and take care of it.
