Inexpensive and Effective Beauty Remedies You Should Know

People can spend chunks of money just to get their hair fixed or their skin to look clearer and glowing or their body to look sexier. They are ready to buy products readily available in the market that claims to make them look better even if it cost them a fortune. But before you buy those beauty products, why not explore your kitchen and try some of these effective home remedies.

1. Unwanted hairs in the body

This is one of the major concerns of women-unwanted hairs on the armpits, legs or even a moustache! Luckily, sugar got you covered.

You just need to mix together 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of water (you can even add lemons).
Heat the mixture in a microwave for 20 to 30 seconds until it turns brown. Allow it to cool or cook it until the sugar melts together with other ingredients.
Using a spatula, apply it on the areas where you want to remove the hair.
Place a cloth strip over the mixture and smooth it out in the direction of the hair growth.
After a few seconds, rip it off in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Repeat as needed.
Note: This is not a permanent treatment for unwanted hairs.

2. Pimple/ Acne

There are a lot of home remedies that you can do to your zit. Teenagers are more prone to this and it can appear on your face, neck, back and even your butt. Excessive oil production, accumulation of dead skin cells, clogged pores and bacteria are the four most common factors contributing to acne. Here's what you can do

Apply a toothpaste on the zit. It should be white toothpaste and not on gel form. Apply it directly on the zit at night and rinse off in the morning. Repeat until the zit is gone
Aloe Vera can also help you fight acne, whiteheads and blackheads. You can use the gel of the plant then apply it directly on the pimple. You can do this twice a day. The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of aloe vera help kill the bacteria causing acne as well as reduce inflammation.

3. Stained or Yellow Teeth

Yellow teeth can be hereditary but it can also because of drinking coffee, soda, etc.

Just mix three teaspoons baking soda with one teaspoon water to form a paste.
Scoop up a bit of the mixture with your toothbrush, and use to brush thoroughly.
Repeat two to three times per week. Baking soda can polish teeth and removes stains BUT it is not recommended for daily use because it can be too abrasive on tooth enamel.

4. Chapped lips

Aside from using low-quality lip care products, excessive exposure to direct sunlight, excessive smoking, high caffeine intake and hormonal imbalances can lead to dry and dark lips. Here's what you can do

Make a lip scrub with 2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon honey.
Mix well and use it to gently scrub your lips for a couple of minutes, once a week. This will help remove dead skin cells and leave you with flake-free lips.
To keep your lips moisturized, you can even massage your lips with lukewarm olive or coconut oil once or twice daily.

5. Large pores

You can shrink large pores with the help of an egg and corn starch

Mix the whites of one egg, one teaspoon of corn starch, and whisk this mix until it’s frothy.
Apply the goo to your face until it’s dry (20 minutes) and rinse with warm water.
